A Little Christmas Cheer

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  And feel like it (with the joy of having my family together).  And taste like it, too!  And I suppose it should with only a week to go!  Although not completely intentional, there seems to be a bit of a “blog break” around here since Jordan arrived in town.  I’m totally okay with that:)  We are enjoying these days leading up to Christmas.  We even did some hiking yesterday – even short-sleeve shirts.  This photo is from December 17th of last year.  So much can happen in a year!!:)  It is unseasonably warm here and our Alaskan guy (where temps are unseasonably frigid) is a happy man!!  As far as blogging, I plan to get back to some type of schedule soon after the holidays.

My brother shared this photo of downtown taken while he was out walking yesterday.  It really has been lovely lately.  A beautiful sunset over our country’s capital.  Amid all that is difficult, hurtful, draining and more….I’m focusing on the sunset.  I pray these last few days before Christmas include one or two pretty sunsets – or other reminders of God’s majesty.  And the real reason for the holiday.

Here’s a little Christmas cheer – just to make your heart happy.  Happy Friday, friends!!

  2. Merry Christmas! Enjoy your family and don’t worry about blogging. We are all going to be too busy to do much blogging/reading this week anyway, I imagine! Love that sunset picture over the Capitol. Amazing photo. Yes, I agree with your thoughts on that as well. Praying for a much better New Year.
