Don’t Quit

Thanks so much for all the best wishes regarding Erica’s run! It really was a great morning. If you were unable to read the poem that we included on Tyler’s page for the Wall of Hope, I thought I would share it today…..and, then, just for good measure – one sweet shot of that cutie patootie (no doubt many more to follow!)
Don’t Quit
(author unknown)
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low but the debts are high,
When you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver lining on the cloud of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst
That you must not quit!

Sniffin’ pretty flowers……times like these are the exact reasons that I “cannot quit”!!

  4. I am adding your poem to my journal. Thanks so much for sharing. Although many of us have lost precious loved ones, there are so many other people in our lives to live for. As long as we have Jesus in our lives, we can't quit. We have so much to look forward to in our earthly life and so much more in our life in heaven with those who have gone on before us. We rejoice in the comfort of knowing we will see them again. Love & blessings from NC!

  5. That is a great poem, Jennifer. Thank you for sharing and for reminding us that we have much to live for, people to influence, etc…

Hope you have a good day!
