Just a little something….

Happy Wednesday! Already to the middle of the week. I have so enjoyed working in the yard a bit this week – had to make a couple trips to Lowe’s and they are starting to put all the flowers out and I am itching to work on those flower beds. (Let me honest how that works…I pick out and buy the flowers and Hubbie gets his hands dirty. OK, I help a bit but I am no gardener. Something about dirt under my fingernails…ha ha.) Nevertheless, I love the finished product:)

I read this verse in my Bible reading this week. (The italics are mine.)

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: Isaiah 55:10

A little convicting with all that whining I did this winter – and how exciting to think about God’s faithfulness….and His goodness!!

And, just a joke to share for today. Never assume anything!! Hope you smile all day today:)

His request approved, the CNN news photographer quickly used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight. He was told a twin-engine plane would be waiting for him at the airport.

Arriving at the airport, he spotted a plane warming up outside the hanger. He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut and shouted, “Let’s go.” The pilot taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off.

Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, “Fly over the valley and make low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides.”

“Why,” asked the pilot.

“Because I’m the photographer for CNN, ” he responded, “and I need to get some close up shots.”

The pilot was strangely silent for a moment. Finally he stammered, “So, what you’re telling me is….you’re NOT my flight instructor??”

Oh Yea, why I am thinking about it
will you please pray for the hubby
of an old and dear friend, he is in the hospital and has 3 bleeding ulcers and the cauterized them but if that doesn't work he will have to have surgery. They don't have insurance and he is in a hospital that none of us like, so we are sure praying the cauterization works, they had to give him 3 units of blood too! Appreciate it
    hon. Thanks

  4. haha Enjoyed that. It sounds like you garden like I do, haha…I am a great supervisor. I know how I "want" it to look, so I do a lot of pointing and suggesting. lol Have a wonderful day Jennifer. Thanks for all the prayers, I soo appreciate them. Hugs, Deb

  5. lol, that was a good laugh! i don't like getting my hands dirty in the dirt either. i am not a gardener. i like to look at pretty flowers but i do not want to plant them or manage the "up-keep" on them. my thumbs are the opposite of green, LOL.

  6. That is a cute story!!! It works the same way around here, I pick out the flowers, hubby plants them, well the ones that go in the flower beds. I can't seem to dig through the dirt we have around here! I do the pots and window boxes. Not sure how I'm going to handle things this year with hubby gone. I think I'll just do the pots and window boxes. Enjoy your day!

  7. Hi Jen! I was going to log off since it's after 11pm and then I saw your comment on my blog about my Valentines background. Ha-ha…laughed right out loud! 🙂

Don't you remember though? When we were picking it out I said, "Jen, now we have to pick one that will be universal for the next 6 months until I see you again cause I have NO time to do this sort of thing!"

So what you're saying now is that the red flowers aren't cutting it anymore? Well bummer! Guess you're just gonna have to take a trip down here or I'll need to come up there so we can do this background thing again! Hee-hee!

    Love ya!

    Erica

  8. Hi Jenn,
Well, I tried to email you again thru gmail and yahoo. It says this is not an email address. Have no idea why! I have it correct, cause I rechecked after you asked me about it! Who knows!! You can try to email me again cause hubby did correct something on there, you might try just taking the email address and typing your own email and see if that works. Ridiculous!!
    Have a good day dear,
    Blessings, Nellie
The funeral is tonight, so would appreciate your prayers. Thanks!
