Happy fall, friends! Well welcome to October, at least. The first day of fall, yesterday, was anything but autumn-like. It was hot. I was sweaty. (I don’t like sweaty!) And today promises to be more of the same. (Um, hopefully, without the sweat!) Whatever the temperatures, another calendar page has turned! I hope that your new month started well yesterday!
I missed blogging on Wednesday but wanted to thank everyone for such sweet comments for Emily’s birthday on Monday’s post. She is not a fan of celebrating but I hope it was, at least, a day of reminders that she is loved much!
As for today’s post, well, I have not been super inspired lately. Is it possible that I have nothing to say??! Yesterday, I began a photo challenge with two friends for the month. Sharing a quick, fun photo each day that comes from a daily prompt. The prompt for this morning is “a guilty pleasure” and I looked up the definition of guilty pleasure. “An activity or thing you enjoy but feel slightly embarrassed by (or shameful) about.” Interestingly, many of the examples included food or beverages. Why is guilt so often associated and/or included with so many foods? But that is definitely not today’s topic. It just struck me as I was reading today.
Other examples included sleeping until noon (um, never), spending the day in your pajamas (again, no) or playing video games for hours. I have to admit, I have never once in my life played a video game. Tis true. However, as the examples continued, there was one small mention of binge-watching. Things like silly TikTok videos, Hallmark movies or….YouTube. Ouch. I do not know what it is about me and YouTube but, yes, it is embarrassing (and a bit shameful) how much I enjoy watching said platform.
That said, YouTube has been filled with beautiful home tours and so many other videos of pretty fall decor. Which made me think last night….if I have nothing to say on the blog, I could share some fall decor:) And, so here we are. I just walked around my house and snapped some photos yesterday. If that doesn’t interst you, please feel free to jump off now. But do come back next week. Hopefully, I will have something to say – lol. Either way, have a wonderful weekend, friends.

These two pumpkins (well, not sure exactly what the tall one is – a gourd?) I made last year. Yes, me, the non crafty girl!!

There may or may not be a plethora of scarecrow. I’m okay with that:)

I included this one because, yes, I am simply blessed!! Happy October all!!
Happy October, Jennifer! I enjoyed the snapshots of your fall decor. Your scarecrows are fantastic as are the pumpkins and sunflowers. I need to snap pictures of my wrought iron tree sometime today plus find my bin of pumpkins for the basket. Have a fabulous Friday and weekend!
Oh yes, I would like to see a picture of that wrought iron tree:)
Your fall decor is super cute! You need to come to my house and play some video games, lol. We have eight or so of the tall arcade cabinets- my husband to play the vintage games and I have to admit… I like them, too. A bit of a guilty pleasure. But I feel guilty if I play them for 15 minutes or so. I can’t imagine hours. Have a great weekend!
Happy October! I love your fall decor! I wish I knew how to crochet or knit. Your pumpkin and gourd turned out so cute. Have a fantastic weekend!
I am blessed as well!! I like your decorations!! I have a few scarecrows sitting out now, too! xo
I love your seeing your fall decor. I like scarecrows too and have not one in my house. Maybe I need to rethink that:) Happy Fall to you. I have to watch myself on YouTube. It can be a time sucker.
