Welcome to Friday. The end of a heavy week. A difficult week…particularly for our country (not me personally). I had in mind a light-hearted, “let’s talk about fall” type post for today, but my heart was just not into getting it together. This is a troubled world we live in. Our country – as well as our homes, our churches, etc. – need much prayer. I don’t think I will post today but wanted to encourage each of us to stop and pray today. And throughout the weekend. Rehearse some of God’s promises as well as His attributes. I pray, over the weekend, we can all find some assurance, some courage, some peace as well as some resolution for what we believe. And, please, come back on Monday. I will be back to a more regular post. Blessings to each of you, my friends.
Blessings to you as well.
Have a great weekend! We aren’t getting much Fall in my neck of the woods, but that didn’t stop me from fall-ifying my front door with a Fall basket and a ceramic pumpkin I’ve had for years. I am looking forward to cooler weather and being able to leave the back door open to fresh air!
This has been a heavy period of time for 24 years and the tragic events that happened this week made it heavier. I am praying for our country and praying for peace for the families and communities dealing with the latest tragedies. Have a peaceful weekend, Jennifer.
Rehearse some of God’s promises- great advice; I’ve been doing that this weekend. I hope that your Sunday service(s) was uplifting to you during this sad time in our nation- sad for the death of Charlie and the reaction of jubilation of the fact by so many. We heard a great sermon for which I’m thankful. “See” you tomorrow :).
Blessings to you too my friend, and to all your dear family.
I am praying for you, your family and your country at this difficult time. Such sad things have been happening. May the Lord surround you with his love and bring you comfort .
Thank you, Jennifer. I share your struggle, and it helps to know I am not alone. I hope you did have a good weekend!
Yes, Jennifer, it was a hard week last week when we consider the state of our affairs in this country. Pray we must!
Thank you for sharing your heart in this post. I feel the heaviness too, and I so appreciate your reminder to stop and pray. What a comfort it is to know that even in the midst of uncertainty and sorrow, God’s promises remain true and His presence never leaves us. I’ll be joining you in prayer, for our country, our churches, our homes, and for peace that only He can give. Blessings to you, friend
