An (Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Good morning!  No real post today; however, there will be one tomorrow so I hope you will stop back by tomorrow.  I hope everyone is having a good week.  Leave me a quick comment and let me one good thing that has happened so far this week!  I’d love to hear it!  For me…I have three mornings of 3-mile walks in the books!  Cannot exactly say that I enjoy it but I am trying my best to be consistent and to pound that pavement!  Happy Wednesday, friends!

Love this photo my son took while hiking a couple weeks ago!  He takes much better pictures that I do!!

  1. Enjoyed your pre-post! Yah for walking three miles. I am thankful that Abby drove herself to college yesterday. and that she got there safely. I don´t think she had ever driven that far of a distance before! It is not a far distance but she dislikes driving, and strongly, before this summer. This summer she drove A LOT more which increased her confidence and made it less intimidating. I am proud of her and happy that she has her own set of wheels to jet around in school.

    1. Yeah Abby!! I don’t know really enjoy driving so I can appreciate your uneasiness. But how nice to have a car this semester – that will be fun!! Praying both the girls have a great year!

  2. One good thing that stands out for me is, my calm as an await some tests. They called and instead of giving me the results, they scheduled a phone call with the doctor this morning. I started a worry and then I just stopped it. So I’m feeling calm and ready for whatever I might hear.
That’s a good thing for me, considering my past.

    1. Isn’t that peace “that passes understanding” such a wonderful feeling? And what a blessing. I promise to be praying for you as the doctor calls and for whatever they might have to say. Thanks for sharing. Blessings to you!!

  3. One good thing this week for me was last night, my best friend Heather had a special birthday dinner for me! My birthday isn’t for a few weeks, but we won’t be together, so she made a delicious birthday meal of beef stroganoff and peanut butter pie! We watched the Bachelorette together, and she gave me some thoughtful gifts. It was a great night!

    1. BillieJo, that sounds lovely! What a sweet friend…and one who knows you so well. Sounds like such a nice evening….and there was peanut butter pie!! Oh my:)

  4. Congratulations on your three mornings of three mile walks! That’s awesome!

One good thing that has happened to me this week happened just today. My husband bought me a Vineyard Steamer to do our grapes with this year and we did our first turn of grape juice today! It was awesome. So much less mess than what we’ve experienced the way we used to do the grapes. And also a lot less work. We were able to do five quarts today, but will probably be doing another day or two before we are out of grapes.

    1. Dianna – that is fun! How fun that you have grapes and that you can make your own juice. I’m sure I would be an I Love Lucy episode if I tried that:) Enjoy using that new steamer (who knew??)

  5. Yay for 3-mile walks! That is wonderful. I need to up my walking time that’s for sure. One good thing that has happened to me this week, well, tomorrow that is, is meeting my brother up for lunch. He called today and said he’ll be in town tomorrow – he lives 1 1/2 hours from me. It’s always a treat to spend time with him.
