And here I am mid-day and just now getting a post finished. That begs the question, should I post it now or just wait until tomorrow morning? Not sure why I think posts should go live in the morning but that is what I usually do. Today will be a day for a change of routine. I don’t want to miss this month’s Currently post so, although late, let’s get started. (And please notice that I did not make one mean or snarky comment about our wintry forecast later this evening. Not one…lol) Currently, I am……
LOVING – the current Bible study on the book of Ephesians. If asked my favorite book of the Bible, I always answer with Ephesians and I have read this book more times than I can count. So, I was not sure what to expect with “another” study of Ephesians, but it has been a wonderful time of study. The discussion has been great and the questions from the study guide have really been thought provoking. Literally, I have discovered even more reasons to “love” Ephesians! I am curious, if you are a Bible reader, what is your favorite book??
Other things I have been loving: pasta lunches at one of our favorite local Italian restaurants, creating some Valentine fun for the kiddos in Junior Church this Sunday, shopping for an upcoming baby shower (baby things are soo cute!) and my Valentine-inspired sweaters. I am wearing one today and have made several people smile already this morning:)
ANTICIPATING – good things from my return to intermittent fasting. The scale is already being kinder and I genuinely feel better. It worked before and I’m confident it will work again. I am looking forward to even more IF benefits and to feeling better in my own skin and clothes!
REMEMBERING – the silly fun we used to have when the kids were young. Celebrating little holidays. Fun days. Like Valentine’s Day. Life was so sweet (pun totally intended) back then. I think I will make a post about it on Friday.
SHARING – some prayer requests, here and there, with my Bible study friends. This may not sound like much but it is something that is a struggle for me. At both of my studies, we finish the morning with prayer requests and a time of prayer. I so enjoy praying for others. Taking note of their requests and then praying repeatedly throughout the week for these ladies who are special to me. However I rarely (if ever) share the burdens on my own heart. But, I am trying. To be honest, I feel rather vulnerable and not sure I like it or want to continue…but, for now, I am trying.
WISH-LISTING – ok, I have to say that I was a bit stumped with this prompt. Is this making a list of things I want to buy (like a Christmas wishlist)? Or is it simply a random list (like a travel bucket list)? When I looked up the definition, it said a list of desired but often realistically unobtainable items. Unobtainable? What’s the point:) I do have several “lists” on my phone. Most have to do with things we would like to do or get done around the house. Projects! I love house projects which, I suppose, is why I have always have a running list. My husband is frustrated by house projects. He likes the end result but we usually have to pay to get our projects completed. He does try – I will give my man that! – but what is simple to do if you know what you are doing is maddening when you have no idea what you are doing. Trust me. I know.
Well, that is it for this month. I would love to know what your favorite book of the Bible might be or if you are handy with home projects. If you are, be sure, I am already envious! I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday. What is left of it. And don’t forget to check out the rest of the link-up here.
I don’t have a favorite book of the Bible but I like that you do and now I want to be intentional about reading Ephesians again. So glad that IF works for you; I feel like it is a good lifestyle habit for me and I did see results when I first began doing it. Thanks for the reminder about Valentine sweaters- I will wear one tomorrow! Hope you aren’t getting a storm- we are getting a small one as the temp is hovering around freezing. We may get rain or more freezing rain.
My favorite book of the Bible would be James. I’ve always loved how straight forward and applicable to real life it is. I also love all the hidden treasures in the new testament. I find so many little nuggets of wisdom tucked into random places.
Oh baby things ARE so cute! I love shopping for baby showers. I am sort of handy with some household things– painting for sure. But most things fall to my husband who does have mad skills but never the time!
Ephesians will always have a special place in my heart because of how God worked in my life through the study of it during COVID. It truly is my favorite book of the Bible.
Fun things you have been working on for your Junior Church kiddos! I love it!
Have a wonderful weekend, dear Jennifer.
I don’t know if I could choose a favorite book of the Bible! I love finding all the different ways that all parts of the Bible are interconnected with each other – the easily overlooked links and references in the gospels and epistles to the prophets and the Torah are so beautiful to me. I think Philippians might rank as my favorite of Paul’s epistles though. Dropping by from “Currently” today
I don’t know that I have a favourite book of the Bible. And every weekend I have a “wish-list” of things I want to get done. I love crossing things off my never ending weekend lists!!!
Here’s to a week of crossing lots of things off the list, Natasha!:)
