A Prayer Request

It has been just about a month now that I have been blogging…and what fun it has been. I have especially had fun “meeting” new friends and following their blogs for so many fun ideas for the home and family, lots of really yummy recipes, or just a good story from their house. For the most part, it has been light-hearted and fun. However, I would really like to use my blog today to ask for prayer for a “blog friend” of mine. Her son has been battling brain cancer for over five years and her testimony of faith is evident in ever post she puts out. I had the opportunity to meet her in person this past spring and she is every bit as warm, sweet and sincere as she seems on her blog. We became friends quickly.

Her sweet son, Nick, continues to battle his cancer…with amazing bravery and a beautiful smile. On Monday, they received very difficult news from the doctors. If you are interested, you can read her blog yourself. I would ask all of my friends to join me in prayer for Tammy. None of us can ever know exactly how someone else feels….but I do know the feel of a mother’s breaking heart when she feels helpless – and how effective the prayers of many friends can be to bring a peace that passes understanding.
