Hello blog friends! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. It was a picture perfect one here. I could not have asked for anything different. For some, the weather might have been a tad too warm to qualify as fall, but it was wonderful, in my humble opinion. The evenings certainly do turn cool (and distinctly autumn) but the temperatures rise quite nicely during the day. That said, I think the forecast is for much more fall-like weather for the days, and even weeks, ahead. With my brain (and my daily outfits) flip-flopping between fall and late summer, well, I thought a little “this or that” would be fun. A bit of flip-flopping between choices, although I will admit it can sometimes be hard to make a definitive choice. But, that’s okay. Play along with me….
I found this one on Pinterest. I have done a couple of these before here on the blog but this one had some different choices. Let’s see how this goes.
Definitely cozy and rainy over anything and cold. Me and cold weather are not friends.
Am not a fan of scary films, or even spooky ones. Would definitely have to choose an autumn film. Have any good recommendations?
Can’t believe I am going to say this, but would probably choose pumpkin spice. For sure not my favorite in a drink but better than apple cider.
I like candles enough but just think little fairy lights are not only cozy but rather magical. I have them in several places around the house.
Hot shower – always and without exception. I think baths are just plain gross!
I have never listened to a podcast. Don’t really understand the craze, if I’m honest. Would easily choose read a book.
A bonfire sounds fun but, truthfully, I think I’ve only been to a bonfire once. Maybe twice. The fireplace, however, on a chilly morning is the best.
I loved the pumpkin patch when the kids were young and, sometimes, I still drag my husband to one. I haven’t done a corn maze in years but it sounds like such fun!
Cozy sweaters are probably one of my favorite things about this season. I like the look of cozy blankets on the back of sofas or tuck in baskets, etc., but I don’t use them or enjoy nearly as much as I love my cozy sweaters and cardigans.
We love us some harvest festivals this time of year! We can find one almost every weekend. Hikes are fun, too, but would not choose one over a festival.
Home decorating is the best for me during this season. The colors and other decor just suit my home. I really enjoy pulling our scarecrows and other fall touches out of their bins each year. I do enjoy baking but decorating is the easy choice here.
The weather and the leaves – well, that is autumn in a nutshell, right? Hard to really separate the two I do really ooh and ahh over the colorful leaves. And take pictures like I’ve never seen the fall color before. It’s what I do.
I’m not sure I can choose between pumpkin bread and cinnamon rolls. Usually the bread would be an easy choice but, lately, I have had homemade cinnamon rolls on the brain. I keep saving recipes and pinning beautiful pans of just right rolls. But homemade cinnamon rolls are not that easy to get “just right.” And I typically associate them with Christmas so, I guess I am going to choose pumpkin bread...although I have not made one loaf yet this year.
Well, here is a deadpan way to end…but I don’t really like pie. I did make an apple cobbler last night for church fellowship that was so delicious! All the apple goodness without the crust. I also think I would like pumpkin pie – if there was not a crust. I suppose the more accurate statement is I don’t like pie crust. But if I had to choose, I guess it would be apple pie. Maybe. I hope I don’t have to choose any time soon.
We can still be friend despite your not liking pie very much! And if you ever find yourself in Ohio and visiting me, I will try my best to be a good hostess and I will not even think about serving you pie!! Other than that, you and I are very similar per this this or that. I do like podcasts (there are some really good ones!) but would rather read a book. Glad your weather was great over the weekend. Ours was, too!
If you are making homemade pie, Maria, I am more than willing to give it a try! And feel sure…it would be delicious!!
Oh I love pie crust, Jennifer! It’s the best part! How ’bout we share – you can eat the inside and save the crusts for me, ok?!
Sounds like the foundation for a lovely friendship, Linda!!
Hello Jennifer! This was a fun way to get know you better! I’m not big on pumpkin spice drinks either, but I do enjoy cider! I did make some gluten free pumpkin waffles for dinner tonight, as I had some pumpkin still in the fridge from when I made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins last week.
And I am all about cozy sweaters! Love them! Hope you have a good remainder to your week!
Pumpkin and chocolate chip – a perfect combination!!:)
We have lots of the same choices but some of them would be so much harder for me to make and would probably get a both– like pumpkin bread versus cinnamon buns. I like them both so much; in fact I just pinned a pumpkin cinnamon bun recipe yesterday! I do think I’d pick hikes over festivals though as I don’t typically go to festivals (I don’t really know of any harvest fests around here).
Choosing between a good hike and a fun festival was definitely a tough one, Joanne!
Hello! Well, I am all over the place with this one! I love a hot shower and all the cozy things —fireplace, candles, books. However, I am a scary movie fanatic!!! I love suspenseful ones, not the gory and evil ones. I was watching Psycho last night! Fun post, my friend!
Oh boy – I do not know about watching Psycho! You are a brave one, for sure!! Hope those pups kept you safe:)
Cozy blog. I also take photos as if I’ve never experienced autumn before—strange, isn’t it? Haha.
Thanks, Aritha. Glad you stopped by today!
Hello! I have to say I mostly agree with you. I do prefer cold and sunny over cold and rainy. I’m just not a fan of gray, rainy days. I’m a sunny day girl! I cannot get enough of cozy, autumn Hallmark movies – they are the best! And I keep my fairy lights up all year! Oh, and hot showers always and forever. Since you are not a crust fan, you should check out Ina Garten’s Pumpkin Flan with Maple Caramel. It might be a good option for you. Have a cozy October day!
