Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving (Eve)! I don’t anticipate being on the computer tomorrow but wanted to take a minute today to wish everyone a happy and peace-filled Thanksgiving. Whether you gather with a crowd, with just a few or even if your day tomorrow finds you not exactly “gathering” at all, I pray your heart will be encouraged as you consider all of your blessings. We are very blesssed people – regardless of our material possessions, the current state of our health or even if our political party seems to be in control. Yes, circumstances (personal, global or otherwise) can threaten our sense of joy, but that is the beauty of Thanksgiving – the purposeful remembering of true blessings. Doing so helps us refocus, quiets our hearts and restores peace to a troubled heart. I could probably use a Thanksgiving holiday once a month….but, seriously, how much sweet potato casserole smothered in melted marshmallows can one girl possible eat!?!
Have a wonderful day, my friends. As I consider my blessings, I will include all those who regularly stop by this small space of mine! You encourage me and, yes, bring happiness to my inbox with your kind comments. Thank you!!
O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
Psalms 95:1-3
PS – I found the above photo on Unsplash. No idea who that cutie is but he is making a joyful noise!! And, if your Thanksgiving forecast includes snow….well, I’m sure there is something to be something thankful for despite the weather!:)
No snow expected for Thanksgiving here in Florida, and that’s one of the reasons we came here from Colorado. (been there, done that) I am thankful for YOU and your thoughtful posts!
Happy Thanksgiving Jennifer!
Hi Jennifer, I wish you a happy and peace-filled Thanksgiving as well. I made cranberry sauce and stuffing today, tomorrow I’ll make the turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts, and pumpkin pie (our favorite)! It’ll be just the three of us this year celebrating at home. Here’s to a blessed day all around.
Today was full of preparations in our house. Thank you very much for being a blogging buddy. I am thankful for much and am thankful I know you. Happy Thanksgiving Jennifer! May you and your loved ones have a very blessed day.
Happy Thanksgiving Jennifer. Thank you for stopping over. Take care and God Bless.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I love that picture! Here in southern PA we’ve had some flurries here and there but nothing much.
