Hi friends! I hope you had a good weekend. It was a nice one here. I especially enjoyed getting back into Junior Church with my favorite kiddos yesterday morning. They are in the middle of a fun project. I missed the beginning stages while I was away on vacation but had a great time jumping right in, and getting caught up, with them yesterday. Sunday mornings make my heart smile!
Today, as promised, I wanted to share some pictures from our vacation. As I scrolled through our photos, I noticed there are several lighthouses, quite a few photos of the ship, lots of beautiful landscapes and seashores….and, well, the pictures all start looking alike. I think I have them in order but that really would only benefit me. (Not even sure how that benefits me!?) I had thought I would tag each one (etc etc) but that was much too much of a chore. Instead, here are some favorites from each port we visited.
Just for reference, we visited Portland, Maine (and Kennebunkport) in the states and then headed to Canada. In Canada, we were in St. John, Halifax, Sydney, Charlottetown/Prince Edward Island, Saquenay and ended in Quebec. The two houses you see were on our Anne of Green Gables tour in Charlottetown. Homes that Lucy Maude Montgomery spent a lot of time visiting and/or were inspriational in her writings for the books. I am just noticing that I did not include a photo from Quebec. Hmm. The cruise was “officially” over but we stayed over one extra night. We had lunch in a cute bistro but the rest of day was uneventful. It also started to rain. That was the only day the weather impacted our trip. We had a shower during one tour but it was very brief and the day finished our beautifully. The trip was (technically) a fall-foliage trip; however, not a single leaf had turned color because the weather was unseasonably warm – and delightful!! I’ll take the lovely temperatures and brilliant sunshine any day:)
I did include the one obligatory photo of me and my sweetie:) We celebrated our 41st anniversary on the trip! (We had hoped to go last yesterday – for the 40th (which some how makes more sense – lol!) – but our friends and travel partners had a health emergency last year.) I am so grateful for this trip. For my husband. Another anniversary. And lots of great memories created. Without further ado/babbling…here are some photos….

And, the end…..

What wonderful pictures, Jennifer! It all looks so lovely. Of all the places you went to, I’ve only been to Portland, Maine and I recognize the lighthouse there. Very nice! I’d take wonderful weather over fall foliage as well. Nice picture of you and your husband. Congrats on 41 years!

I love the pictures. We have good friends who live on PEI and we’ve visited them twice. I loved it there-so much wonderful seafood and Anne is still a favorite of mine. I’m glad you had nice weather and happy anniversary to you both!
Looks like you had a wonderful time. I was thinking that just maybe a couple from my church went on that cruise. They went in September but now I am not remembering the exact date, but those are the places they went. They go on cruises all the time!!!! I mean all the time.
Anywho, glad you had a good time.
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Happy anniversary! Such lovely photos, you will just have to go back another time to see the autumn colours!
Beautiful! What a bucket list trip! I’ve always wanted to go to Prince Edward Island!
