Happy Wednesday, friends! It has been a lovely week here so far and I hope it has been for you as well. I’ve actually seen some signs of melting. I almost did a happy dance (but I was driving)! Yesterday morning, almost all the ladies at Bible study arrived in red, pink or with other heart embellishments. It was fun (and a bit funny). Afterwards, I had a long lunch with a friend that I have not seen since before the holidays. We had to catch up on…which we did over yummy Mexican food.
I mentioned on Monday that the sun has been showing up in the mornings earlier and earlier. I love when the rays streak through the house first thing in the mornings. I love mornings anyways but those streaks of sun make the first part of the day even nicer. I actually picked up my camera and was having fun snapping a few photos. And since I do not often have photos, I thought I would simply share a few today. Not (too) much talking but just sharing a glimpse of morning sunshine in my house.

There is still plenty of snow just about everywhere outside. And, although it has been “nice” the last couple of days, I would not be surprised if more snow arrived before winter completely says good-bye. However, I am tired of the snowmen. I am ready to put them away. Hmmm –

We were gifted this amaryllis at Christmas. I have never had one before but we have been completely intriqued and enamored with this thing. This was taken on Monday. We love it!

Just my first view in the morning. Time to get that coffee made!:)

I usually take turns bringing of my houseplants into the kitchen to enjoy some of the morning sun. I love it as much as I do! I guess we are all morning people arouond here!! Thanks again, friends, for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of your day and I hope you will stop by again on Friday!
I like all of the photos in this post- little glimpses of ordinary things- this is what 90% of my camera roll consists of :). The amaryllis is really pretty (plus I love the name Amaryllis for a girl- if I´d have had three girls, don´t Abby, Alyssa and Amaryllis sound good together??). I can see how it´s bringing you joy. Speaking of joy, it´s getting warmer and more of that lovely sunlight earlier in the day. I hope you have a great day!
I love the way the bands of sunshine make my house look in the mornings – it makes the day ahead seem exciting, like the possibilities for happiness are streaming through my house!
What wonderful pictures of the sun’s rays coming in, Jennifer! Yes, the melting is real around here as well. I was watching the stream flow off the back corner from the melting snow on the roof as I ate breakfast this morning. While we still have a good bit here in our woods, there are patches of ground (especially out back) beginning to surface. Enjoy your Wednesday!
I don’t have a green thumb… I will kill anything that is given to me. {{sigh}} It was 70 degrees here in Missouri yesterday and melted all the snow away! It’s wonderful and 52 today. I hope for an early spring! 🙂 Happy Valentine’s day!
I enjoyed seeing the sun shining through at your lovely home, Jennifer. I love those moments, too. They seem almost sacred. Our snow is melting here, and we were supposed to get freezing rain this morning, but it passed us by. Not that I am complaining, mind you. 🙂 There is snow forecast for the next couple of days as well, but perhaps it too will pass us by.
That Amaryllis is gorgeous! The snowmen are all cute, but I would be like you and ready to put them away.
Take care and I pray that you have a good remainder to your week. Have you had your return visit with the doctor concerning your hearing yet? I’ve been praying for you. xx
Oh, I love the sunshine!! I also love amaryllises they are so beautiful. I have some every year!!!
Nothing better than sunshine coming in. We have had a beautiful week here and I wish I could send some up that away.
I love the amaryllis. My mom had them at her previous home. They were always so pretty. I have planted the ones I get at Christas after they bloomed, but I found they skip that next season, so it is a long wait for them to bloom, but they do.
I enjoyed seeing your sunlight photos. I hope you thaw soon. I was amazed to see that here in southern Missouri we’re expecting highs in the seventies next week. Just a couple of weeks ago, we couldn’t get above freezing. Who knows how long spring will be?
I’m visiting from Afternoon Coffee and Evening Tea. Happy weekend! Laura
Thank you for your words of sunshine today, Jennifer! I love the morning beams, too. I don’t have a gift for plants, though… as much as I love how they look, I can’t seem to grasp how to care for them. Currently we have a poinsettia and a philodendron, but I don’t know how much longer they will last. I think I must give them too much attention–and then too little–but finding the balance… that is a challenge. I hope you have a good week!
Hope you have a wonderful week, as well, Karen. Hang in there with those plants:)
Lovely to see those rays of sunshine lighting up the house. They are a cheery reminder that more sunshine and longer daylight hours are on the way. Your Amaryllis is beautiful and has several stunning flower heads. It made me smile to hear about your friends at Bible study in pink or red or heart related . A sweet touch to a special day.
Thank you, Beverley. And glad that you came by the blog today! Have a wonderful week!!
