Hello friends and happy Friday. Are you ready for the weekend? Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? I filled goodie bags (to full and overflowing) and will make minature heart shaped cakes this afternoon. Both should bring some heart-inspired fun to Junior Church on Sunday. I also tried the holiday drink that I mentioned on Monday. It was okay. But just okay. I don’t think I used enough cherry juice AND I was out of whipped creme. How can you truly have a fru-fru holiday drink without whipped creme?? I did, however, find a Valentine coffee assortment. I was reminded of my holiday coffee advent calendar back in December…which completely fell by the wayside after I got sick (and struggled to get well for basically the whole month -ugh!) That was disappointing, to say the least. This box of coffee flavors are not only unique but a bit of chance to redeem my fun.
Coffee fun will probably start on Monday. But I still thought today could use some Valentine silliness. Last year, on this day before Valentine’s Day, I had some fun with a little This or That. You can see my answers here. I can honestly say not much has changed in a year:) With that in mind, and not wanting to simply repeat the same answers, I thought, for today, I would try a Would You Rather? Honestly, they will probably be similar, but let’s have a little fun anyways. Play along and let me know if our answers are more along the same lines or complete opposites. Either way, we can still be friends and I’m super glad you are here!! Whether Valentine’s Day is your thing or not, I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Eat a piece a chocolate regardless:)

Here are my answers…
Sing in public. NO ONE wants to have me dance in public. I do sing in church every week. It’s with the congregation but that’s public, right???
Be a secret admirer. Having one just seems creepy to me. No thank-you. And, if I were one, it would stay incredibly secret.
Go on vacation. I enjoy getting away and love a nice vacation. We have one planned for September. Maybe I can squeak in another before then??
Speak all languages. All languages? That’s alot. But I would be thrilled to be bi-lingual. I would love the ability the learn languages easily.
Less time. More money is not really a dream but, these days, I often have too much time on my hands. That is my thought process here. Not that I want there to be less time (fewer days) in my life. But less empty time. Does that make sense?
Order at a restaurant. I go through stages where I enjoy cooking and then I don’t. Lately, I don’t.
Be a passenger. Driving is not my favorite and I’m content as a passenger. However, depending on the driver, sometimes I just would prefer to be behind the wheel.
Go out on a date. Staying home is not exactly a date. In my humble opinion.
Get up early. Will always be the right answer!!
Send a text message. I make myself laugh with that answer. I totally used to be that girl wondering why people could not just pick up the phone. And now, I would much prefer to simply send a text. Not sure that is a good thing or not so good?
Adopt a dog. I would do that over a cat but, honestly, I am perfectly happy being a no-pet household right now.
Go shopping. I certainly do my fair share of online ordering but I prefer shopping.
Neither. Truthfully. But, if I had to choose, I would not being royalty for a day (or a week) just so I could meet and spend a day with Princess Kate. I think that would be a delight!!
Thanks again for visiting, playing along and commenting! Happy Valentine’s Day:)
I’m with you on not having a pet right now. I am pretty used to things staying simple here, and adding another living things seems complicated, you know? I too, have way too much time on my hands and boredom tends to creep in…
Gina, we seem to be the few that have too much time (glad it is not just me!) Thanks for commenting!
Such a fun Valentine post, Jennifer. I enjoy cooking…until I don’t…there I said it out loud (almost). I’m like you and take spells of enjoying cooking, especially when trying new recipes and then there are periods of time when I could eat out 3 times a day, every day. About a week of that and I am always ready to get back to my kitchen and cook!
Hope all went well with your appointment, and you were given some help that will last. Happy Valentine’s Day, my friend. xx
My appt did go well. Thank you so much for asking, Dianna. I appreciate your comments and visits to the blog!
What a fun post to read this morning, Jennifer! Let’s see…
1. Neither, but if I have to choose then it would be dance.
2. Neither because it is creepy and stalkerish.
3. Attend a stitching retreat is my idea for a vacation.
4. Speak to animals. At times, I would just love to hear what they are thinking.
5. Have more time/less money means more time to read and/or stitch.
6. Order at a restaurant because the cook (aka the husband) needs a break.
7. Be a passenger.
8. Stay in on a date.
9. Get up early.
10. Neither make a phone or text. I prefer face to face.
11. Adopt a dog.
12. Order online unless it is for cross stitch fabrics and threads.
13. Neither, I don’t want to be in a fish bowl all the time with everyone watching.
Happy Friday the 13th! Have a great weekend!
Prefer face to face. I applaud you. I should be more like that. The more I text, the more I avoid “face to face”…and that is not a good thing!
1. I have both danced and sung in public (as part of a performance and usually as part of an ensemble so I could go either way on that one as long as I don’t have to perform alone).
2. I’ve also both been and had a secret admirer; I find it fun on either side… as long as they don’t take THAT long to reveal themselves.
3. Vacation for sure! I’ll take a vacation over any gift any day of the week.
4. I’ve always wanted to be even bi-lingual so all languages for me
5. It’s kind of a toss up! I have so much empty time at home that I’d like to fill.
6. Cook at home
7. it depends on who is driving but I normally prefer to be the passenger
8. Go out; I spend FAR too much time staying in as it is.
9. I’d love to sleep in late (which to me is like 7 am!) as I am always up around 4.
10. Text message
11. Cat, I guess, though I don’t like having pets
12. depends on my mood; today I’d like to shop in store
13. I guess queen?
Yes to going out! Hope you were able to go out yesterday with your favorite valentine!! Thanks for playing along, Joanne!
My old eyes could hardly see the prompts but I surmised a lot of them through your answers :). For sure I sing in public at church just as you do so that one is covered. We are a no pet household and we´re cool with that. I´m an order online person for most things. At one point that seemed incomprehensible but I´ve definitely changed on that one. Your heart shaped cakes sound like something I´d like to see a photo of the next time you drop a line :). If you so wish, lol! You´ve inspired me to make piezookie sized cookies (so bigger than normal) for some friends and try to decorate them. If they turn out, I´ll post a pic the next time I drop a line on the blog! Have a great weekend!
The heart shaped cakes were not photo worthy…and were not even that well received in class. Huge sigh. Hope you had more fun with your piezookie cookies!! and that you had a nice valentine’s weekend!!
Oh, How fun!!!! And I get the less time comment now that I am in this new season in my life with young adults.
1. Sing in Public but I will bust a move too. 🙂
2. Be a secret admirer
3. VACATION
4. Speak to animals
5. ??
6. Cook
7. Drive
8. Stay In~ Sit on porch, enjoy a meal, and watch a show
9. get up early but I so struggle due to insomnia (thank you perimenopause)
10. phone
11. neither (I know… I just lost my sweet dog and I do not have a desire for one now)
12. order online
13. Neither really
Chrissy – I’m so sorry you recently lost your sweet pup. Goodness they leave huge holes in our homes (and hearts!), don’t they??
Hello! This is fun! Let’s see…
1. Dance. No one. And I mean, no one wants to hear me sing.
2. Be. Because having a secret admirer would creep me out!
3. Gift. I love being home.
4. Languages! Can you imagine being able to communicate with literally everyone you meet??
5. More time. Always.
6. Cook. Again, home.
7. Drive. If I were better at it!
8. Stay in.
9. Early! I love my morning time!!!
10. I’m oldschool. I’d rather call.
11. Dog. We have three. What’s one more!
12. Online. It is the answer to my prayers.
13. Queen. I’d like the tiaras without the responsibility!
Knowing all the languages would be amazing!! And, yes, after three dogs – what is one more? Adopt all the dogs, my friend!!:)
Had to enlarge the graphic so these old, tired eyes could read the questions. Will play along, too. But first, sounds like you treated your Junior Church members to lots of thoughtful treats. Your heart-shaped cake remind me that I need to get a heart-shaped cookie cutter. We had all the ingredients to make Valentine sugar cookies but forgot the cookie cutter!!
1. Dance in public, please. When I am feeling especially carefree, I do this.
2. Neither really. Unless my secret admirer is PC.
3. Go on vacation. All. Day. Long.
4. Speak to animals. I love animals. Would love to be able to speak to my pets and little strays, and animals I see in nature.
5. How about more money, more time!! If I can only have one, then more time, please. Or the ability to figure out how to get more done and have more free time to do all of the fun things I love to do, too.
6. Like you, I go through periods of time when I am happy to cook, then for a spell I am not interested in cooking at all. Right now, I seem to be content to cook.
7. I guess I prefer being the passenger but I enjoy driving, too. Would like to drive a standard transmission again some day.
8. Generally prefer being home. But like you said, being home isn’t a date, really, unless we plan some special kind of activity. I just love being home.
9. Get up early-ish.
10. I have 2 kitties so would like a dog again. It has been a number of years since I had a dog and I love them.
11. Order online although I would probably be better off doing less of that, and making myself go to the store or do without.
12. Can I be a princess?
Leslie, you can, indeed, be a princess!! So nice to see you here this morning…thanks for stopping by!
I think probably singing would be my choice .
Vacations win every time. I do love holiday time but I’m not a beach girl, I like to explore where I’m visiting.
Home cooking wins for me. Occasional meal in a restaurant is ok but not my go to.
I do have a driving license but hate driving so am happy to be passenger.
I’m an early bird.
I used to be just a dog person but with our son having cats, they have grown on me . However we don’t have any pets now ourselves.
I enjoy both in person shopping and buying online shopping.
President or royalty – I’m just happy being me. I wouldn’t want all the associated attention.
