Hello friends! I hope it has been a good week. I debated (as in overthinking!) what to post for Easter, as this will be my last post before Sunday. I have discussed Easter memories several times before and did not see the need to do so again. I considered several more thoughtful posts when thoughts toward Easter and its very significant meaning for me as a Christian. All my hope is found in Christ’s resurrection and defeat of sin and death. In no way to I want to downplay that significance; however, just for fun, I decided to keep it lite. Even a bit silly today:)
That said, here’s a little Easter This or That. Play along…and I do hope everyone has a beautiful Easter. I am excited about our weekend and will look forward to reading about your plans and celebrations as I blog visit over the next few days. Now, for those choices:) My answers are below….
Bunny. We actually had a pet bunny when our children were little. Unfortunately, our (rescued) bunny did not really like children (which was understandable considering his past). He was sweet but not very happy. We eventually found him a perfect home with an older single lady who ridiculously spoiled him. It was a beautiful match for both of them.
Bright colors. I’ve never been much of a pastel girl.
Casual clothes. I do enjoy getting “dressed up” but don’t have much occassion to do so very often. Sigh.
Chocolate. I do not like jelly beans. Yuck.
Butterfly. But, I cannot remember the last time I saw a butterfly. Ladybugs are super cute, too:)
Pink. Hmm, that is a pastel, though, right??
Iced Tea. Raised on iced tea and drink it every day:)
Outdoor Egg Hunt. Unless, of course, it is cold. Which it often is…ugh. We have had several indoor egg hunts and, without fail, I find a forgotten egg months later. Why is there always one forgotten egg? I was thinking that doesn’t happen with an outdoor hunt but, then again, I suppose I simply don’t have occasion to randomly find a forgotten egg outside.
Cadbury eggs. I love these things! The ones with googey white and yellow (yolk-inspired) centers They have great memories for me. Memories from college days! I have been a fan for (almost) life!!
Watch the clouds. I think clouds are beautiful. Honestly, I do.
Dyed eggs. Although I have never tried painting an egg. Maybe I am missing out on something. Painted eggs? Hmmm.
Easter themed craft. We especially love crafts in Junior Church:)
I know there is one more choice there but I am missing the association of Easter and either of those games. I have never done either for Easter. So, this is a good place to end. Share one or two of your choices in the comments. Thanks for stopping by…and, again, HAPPY EASTER!
What a cute post, Jennifer. I’m with bunnies all the way! And chocolate? Oh, Yes, please! I pray that you have a wonderful and blessed Easter.
Thanks Dianna!!
Enjoyed your commentary on the real meaning of Easter as well as the remainder of your Easter lite post :). You don’t hear of a bunny getting spoiled very often- it sounds like it was meant to be with the woman and your kids’ bunny!! So true about the outdoor Easter eggs and having no occasion, really, to find them after the hunt. And caramel Cadburry eggs all the way- the white and yellow cream center- gonna on pass on that. I don’t care for the sticky sweetness of it or the faux egg aspect of its appearance (shudder). I hope you have a wonderful and meaningful Easter!
Bunny, pastels, casual clothes, chocolate, daffodils, ladybug, pink, lemonade, outdoor egg hunt, Reese’s eggs, clouds & rainbows, dyed eggs, Easter themed book, bingo.
Thanks for playing along!:)
So nice to meet you, Jennifer, and thanks for visiting my blog today. Praying that you have a wonderful and blessed Easter!
Thank you, Martha…and I am so glad you came by. I look forward to blog visiting more often:)
I don’t have time to do the fun quiz, have to leave in a few minutes to take my dearest to a doctor appointment. I’ll try to come back later. Have a wonderful Easter weekend.
No worries Wanda. Just glad you were able to stop by my blog today! Happy Easter wishes to you!
While most of my answers could be ‘both’, if forced to pick just one we’d have pretty much all the same answers. But my favorite Cadbury eggs are the mini eggs; I actually do not like the cream filled ones at all. And I absolutely think pink can be pastel or bright depending on the shade. I prefer an outdoor egg hunt but many years we had them inside just because of the cold/snow.
I had a lot of both answers, too, but I guessed that rather defeated the purpose of the game – lol!!
Love this cute post and really enjoyed your blog. Thank you for stopping by my place. Wishing you a wonderful Easter Weekend…
I hope your weekend is very special as well!
so you are not confused….I go by Shug which is the name everyone has called me for the past 30 years..
Thanks!!:)
Now this is for Easter – I like both bunnies and chicks, and pastels and nice casual clothes. Love chocolate any time of the year, 🐞 ladybugs, purple…actually lavender, and lemonade. Yellow daffodils, but not into any of those candy eggs. Watching clouds is fun – Even as a kid, I wasn’t that into Easter egg hunts. I used to dye eggs but the painted ones are so pretty. I also prefer dying the eggs using veggies, carrots, beets or teas. I like that muted old fashioned look and I’ll finish with bingo! I think I got them all.
Thanks for the mental excercise.
Yep, you got ’em all! Thanks for playing along and sharing your answers, Debby. I’m glad you stopped by!
Bunnies, chocolate, Reese’s eggs, outdoor egg hunt, bright colors, watch the clouds because we rarely have the rain to bring about a rainbow, Easter book and craft!! That was fun. Oh, casual clothes for the celebrating we will do. If we go to church, we will dress up but then put on comfy clothes as soon as we get home.
Wishing you a peaceful, lovely day.
I’m a bit late but here goes. Bunny- it was my first pet as a child and he was called Twinkle. Chocolate- it just has to be really. Lemonade- especially if it is homemade. I don’t drink any kind of tea! I’ll eat most Easter eggs but my favourite are Lindt/Lindor eggs. The original Cadbury factory is just up the road from us in Bournville. Butterflies and Ladybirds- I’m glad when they both visit my garden. Daffodils – still love Tulips but they don’t do well in my garden. I think squirrels like them too much. We decoupaged a few eggs this year but decorated eggs are all pretty.
