Note to self….this new diet of mine involves exercise, a lot of salad, and some concoction that includes apple cider vinegar – and is disgusting!! Just to remind myself, I’ve copied these thoughts from the internet:
First let me say that apple cider vinegar is a completely natural product, resulting from the fermentation of apple juice to hard apple cider followed by a second fermentation to apple cider vinegar.
This natural product retains all the nutritional goodness of the apples from which it was made plus it is fortified with the extra acids and enzymes produced during the two fermentation steps.
It’s the sum of all these ingredients that give apple cider vinegar its amazing health benefits.
It is generally believed that the nutrients, enzymes, and organic acids in apple cider vinegar cause weight reduction by acting as an
appetite suppressant, by increasing your body’s
metabolic rate, by reducing
water retention, and by helping you maintain a feeling of
well being.
Well, it has worked great for several of my friends and I’m willing to give it a try but, I repeat, it is DISGUSTING!!

oh yes it is an acquired taste for sure. i drink it every day when i remember, lol.
i put 2 teaspoons in a glass of 8oz of water. then add a little honey to it. it's not so bad then. still not totally awesome, but definitely do-able!
Okay Jen, WHAT is it you're drinking? It sounds SCARY! You'll have to show me when I come up there. I might just give it a try! I'm all for anything to help me loose the baby weight.
Love you!
Oh dear, I don't know if I could drink it. But you know, you can get to use to almost anything. Give it a chance. I will be waiting to hear how it goes for you, and what if any health benefits you notice. Hugs, Debbie
Oh my friend! Once (during a weak moment) a few years ago, I tried it…GROSS indeed. I don't think I could ever drink it again…I respect you in a whole new way for trying it.
You asked on my blog about hankie pankies…they are a wonderful, simple delicious little appetizer made from ground chuck, sausage, velveeta cheese, a little garlic powder and party rye or wheat bread. They are perfect because you can make ahead and freeze and pop in the oven for just a few minutes as you need them. Here's the recipe I use (although if you're dieting, this is probably not something you want to try right now!) ; )

Hi Jennifer! It's great to be back at blogging! Been much too long! Not sure I'm woman enough to choke down that concoction…phew!
