Welcome to another Monday. A new week – for that I am happy. But I found it difficult to type my usual “Happy Monday” because my heart is heavy with world events and for those suffering in Ukraine. Perhaps it is just late (as I write this post on Sunday night), but I am struggling to find the balance of a lighthearted morning while remembering those in desperate need of prayers on the other side of the world. I think I will simply leave a Monday scripture. I hope that you will not only stop by again on Wednesday (it will be time for another “Currently” post) but will also pause to pray for Ukraine, for world leaders, for churches and Christians around the world but especially in Eastern Europe and that events will turn our eyes to the One who is ultimately in control of everything.
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2
“…Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15b
Praying with you for Ukraine. Yes, my heart is heavy for them too, as well as the whole world situation. So much turmoil and pain. But primarily I am praying for the good and innocent people of Ukraine. They do not deserve to be treated this way. Praying for God’s intervention on their behalf. Amen.
Amen. I did write a blog post today and carried on as usual, but I’ve spent time praying for those dear people. I keep reading articles and emails about a more detailed description of what’s going on that is not all bad. I’m glad to read about little glimpses of hope amidst the darkness and terror. I love your heart. I feel like we’re such kindred spirits. Thanks for sharing, sweet friend.
