Hello again and time for a little Hodge Podge fun. This one was short and sweet for me. Not super sporty. Or romantic. Sigh. But, I’m giving away the answers. Let me start with the questions….
1. The Winter Olympics kick off on Friday, February 6th…on a scale of 1-10 how excited are you? (1= eh and 10=watching every event all day every day). What’s your favorite Winter Olympic sporting event? Oh boy. Please don’t hate but I have to say a 1. I’m not really a sports girl. Add the word winter and, well, I’m sure I will have fifty otherthings I can do other than watch Winter Olympics. As for a favorite (should I ever decide to watch), I guess the Luge or Ski Jumping. I guess. But they both look so dangerous, it is hard to watch!
2. In other sporting news, the Superbowl (American football’s championship game) will be played on Sunday, February 8th. So tell us…what’s your superpower? This is tie between organizing and directions. Organizing I just plain love. Whether it is a kitchen junk drawer or an event for fifty ladies, let me organize and I am one happy camper. When it comes to directions and/or navigating, I’m a bit of a human GPS:) If I have been somewhere one time, I can certainly find my way there again. And I completely flummoxed when people cannot retrace their steps in order to get home or back to start.
3. Are you a romantic? Nope. Tis true but only feels a bit sad (or even awkward) during this mushy month of Valentines:)
4. Blue cheese-yay or nay? Absolutely NOT! How about feta? One of my favorites!! If you said yes to one or both, what’s a dish you like that calls for one of these? I could feta to so many things. A sandwich but it is especially delish on most any salad. This dish especially amazing right about now!!
5. What’s more important-doing what you love or loving what you do? Loving what you do. Attitude changes everything. So much of each day is made of things that just need to get done. I can’t simply skip all of the routine and ordinary to sit down and only do what I love. But if I approach the everyday things (at home or elsewhere) with the right mindset, I not only can enjoy them but can also love doing them…. and gettin ’em done! So much more I could say here but you get the idea:)
6. Insert your own random thought here. Well, those were short and sweet. And fun. I don’t remember using so many :)s in one post in quite awhile. Thanks for the fun today, Joyce. Check out the rest of the link-up there. There might be several yummy feta recipes!! And, just to continue the fun, I’ll end with these two memes……

Jennifer, I enjoyed reading your answers to the questions this week. I am with you when it comes to Feta. I do like Blue Cheese, but in very small amounts. And I loved the graphics at the end. I was just thinking about the car seats that my kids had in the 70s the other day! So, that picture really made me chuckle. That’s pretty much it. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, Dianna! Hope you are having a nice week:)
Attitude does change everything, I believe. When loving what I do, I am motivated to get the job done. I usually take a day in the summer and organize my junk drawer (doesn’t everyone have a junk drawer?). Love the car seat meme; how on earth did we all survive???
Tammy, I’m so glad you stopped by today..and took the time to comment! Thanks and happy Wednesday to you!
I like the memes! Funny! Sometimes I feel like I use too many “:)” in my posts. I mean, I could just not put them in but sometimes a girl needs to express that smiley face, ya know? No shame, no shame! I am also a “1” for question one. Sadly, organizing is not my super power. It’s sorta kinda definitely my super weakness. Enjoyed reading your answers and have a great day :).
Your super weakness?? That’s funny and wouldn’t that make a good Hodge Podge question?? So many smiley faces!!:)
The memes at the end are so funny and so true. About the only reason I would have to watch the Winter Olympics would be to watch the figure skating. Hmmm on the superpower! Is being kind considered a superpower? How about letter and/or note writing? Enjoy your Wednesday, Jennifer!
Oh I think being kind would be a wonderful superpower!! I wonder how many would label that one on me?? We’ve never met but I can see that nice might be a superpower for you!!:)
I am not a sporty girl but I sometimes do enjoy watching other people do it if there is a bit of risk involved. I am so bad at directions, I always get lost. Oops.
I remember sitting in cars when I was small with no car seats or even seatbelts on. Eek!
I don’t think we used carseats either. We laid on the backdash (under the window)!?! Hope you are having a great week, Kim!
As a mom in the 70’s the one meme on the car seat is not true. That would definitely be 50’s and 60’s. It’s the, type of car seats I sat in and my sister. (just had to clear that up) 😁
I used to watch all that but just don’t have time for and I don’t want to make time. I may catch a few clips here and there but once political controversy comes into play, I’m done!
Thanks for clearing that up!! And glad you visited the blog today, Debby!
Good day!!! We are twins!!!! LOL!!! I feel the exact same way about the Olympics. I also am not romantic. I do not like blue cheese but love feta!! I also love to organize and I am fantastic at directions and helped plenty of times saving the day when someone was lost.
I also believe that just like those heavy socks on the scale that you shared in the image even my hair on my head adds to the scale a lot. LOL!! I am convinced. LOL!
We are indeed twins!! Love it!
I have absolutely no sense of direction so would like to have your number on speed dial to get me home from new places!
I don’t intend to watch the Olympics, but I can guarantee all our tv programmes will be rescheduled so that it will be hard to avoid it.
Feta cheese for the win, I love Greek Salad! That recipe is very similar to one I do which uses a round of Boursin garlic and herbs, yum!
Hmmm. It might take me a minute to get my UK gps bearings…but, if it’s a superpower, then I’m up to the challenge! LOL
I have absolutely no sense of direction. And after more than 40 years of marriage my husband still tries to ‘help’ me understand where I am. I love a map though and of course am grateful for GPS. My mother-in-law is like you and if she’s been somewhere once she can get there again. Sometimes when I ask where we are my hubs thinks its hilarious to say ‘earth’. Hope you have a great day!
Aha, he is a clever one, Joyce!:)
Oh lucky you to have such a great sense of direction! I do pretty well as long as I have landmarks to navigate around but put me in the woods and often one tree or rock looks like another and I get all turned around. I definitely think attitude makes a huge difference in our everyday lives too.
I haven’t watched any of the Winter Olympics this time so I guess that makes me a 1. If I had to choose a favourite event it would have to be one of the skating or ice dance competitions.
I think my super power is decluttering, I managed to shift quite a lot of stuff last year. I don’t possess the navigation super power though, no sense of direction. That’s one of hubby’s super powers.
Sorry, Jennifer but I’m a blue cheese girl. We don’t have it often but I do love it.
Having the right attitude can be a real game changer.
Loved the two little girls meme. Does that work for adults too. 🤣
Oh Beverley, I don’t know about blue cheese fans!? Just kidding…we can certainly be friends!! But, if we ever have lunch…I’m holding my nose when your salad arrives! LOL
